Helpful hint: MCC has used GarlicGuard as a preventative treatment for saltwater ich, it is no way a cure but it seems to help my fish maintain the slime coat and to beat the parasite. I soak all my foods in it some times making extra and putting in the fridge to soak over night. My best deduction as to how it works is that, like us, if you know you are going camping and want to prevent the mosquito's from biting, a lot of people take a garlic pill several days before. Yes your sweat stinks but it keeps the bugs off..I give it to my fish as a daily additive along with Brightwells AminOmega.
